the christmas season was wonderfully busy with all the traditional festivities and we finished it off with a trip to snowy colorado. gabe loved the snow and sledding, mak insisted that she wanted to go to the beach. to her credit, it was miserably cold there for many days (a daytime HIGH of 7 - not quite the perfect san diego weather we have become accustomed to). but we still had a blast with family and cousins.
