Today was a very special day for our family as we celebrated Makena's baptism. Choosing to baptise our children (others choose to do a "dedication" service) was a decision that was not an easy one for us. We engaged many people who have done in-depth theological study on this issue, we did our own research, and talked and prayed about it many times. In the end, we felt that baptising our kids as an infant was something we wanted to do. We know that the sacrament of baptism doesn't guarantee salvation but do believe there is a spiritual thing that goes on that marks our child as one of Gods. So, here are some pics to share of a special day...
My mom was able to fly out and join us, and joe's dad and stepmom also drove down to be with us. As you can see, mak almost baptised herself in the fountain outside our church.

I can't believe Makena is!! I still remember the day she was born, as I am sure you do. They grow too fast!
