Despite a long to-do list and limited time to complete it, we set off to Bate's Nut Farm pumpkin patch last Saturday with Mimi and Papa in tow. It was a complete opposite experience from last year's pumpkin picking endeavors which took us on a wild goose chase through the hills of North Carolina and we ended up knocking on someones front door asking if we could pick a pumpkin from their own family farm (not open to the public). Anyways, Bate's Nut Farm should really be called Complete Chaos Farm as half the population of San Diego was also there last Saturday picking out their pumpkins. It was indeed crazy, but also a lot of fun and will likely be the first of many annual trips.
