i'm a bit unsure of this whole blog thing, but we'll give it a try and see how it fits our family. I'm not sure i ever would have thought of participating in the blog world if this wasn't the best way for our family to communicate while we are separated for this next month. Being more of a pen and paper person i like the feel of creating something real and personal and this still feels a bit distant, but ironically it will hopefully keep us feeling connected over these next few weeks.
"look mom, a hot dog!" gabe farrell, 8/29/06. This was a classic gabe observation as we were walking by the pond this afternoon. It took me a minute to figure out that he was pointing at the cattails surrounding the pond, and even though I had never thought of them as looking like hotdogs on a stick I really can't say he was that far off.
