Plato's Closet

So I cleaned out my closet last week and feeling the entreprenurial spirit I hoped to make a few bucks by selling some of the clothes to the consignment shop Plato's Closet. I made sure that I sorted out the name brand stuff and that everything was in decent condition. In fact, a lot of it hadn't been worn a whole lot since two back-to-back pregnancies prevented me from fitting into most of these clothes for a few years. Well, apparently a few years makes a difference when trying to sell clothes. I had a great laugh after dropping 4 shopping bags of clothes off at the counter, waiting a few minutes while my stuff is examined, and then wait for the salesperson to tell me how much money they are going to give me. The exact quote (and picture it being said from a young looking 16 year old teenager) was something like, "Unfortunately, we are not able to accept any of your clothes. They are not in the styles we are currently looking for". I just thought it hilarious that not a single piece of my clothing is anywhere close to being "in style". I've come so far, but clearly I have so far still to go.
